The inhabitants of the Midlands are overseen by The Confessors, a magical group who have the ability to “touch” a person’s soul and give them great power.ĭ’Hara is ruled by Darken Rahl (Craig Parker), an evil tyrant who wants to bring the Midlands and Westland into his own empire and make the residents his slaves.
